  • Cutting:
The same tool that is used to cut Merino Standard HPL can be used for Merino UNI + Unicolour Laminate. As the core is slightly more brittle, care must be taken on reverse side to avoid chipping. When cutting it by hand using fine-toothed saw, it should be supported on both sides. After cutting, edges should be smoothened to reduce post fabrication risk of chipping.

    Gluing and Pressing:
Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate can be both hot and cold pressed. Bonding guides as followed by Merino HPL should be followed for Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate also. Similarly all the substrates suitable for Merino HPL are also suitable for Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate.

Contact adhesives are recommended. The glue line should be maintained as thin as possible, which is required for proper bonding.

All traditional tools and machines, which are used for Merino HPL, can be used for the fabrication of Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate.

  • Storage & Handling:

Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate should be properly conditioned to the ambient conditions of the surroundings for at least 48 hours before use
The protective film should not be removed unless the job is complete

Clean the surface gently with a clean, damp soft cloth. Do not use brushes or scourers
Stains like coffee or tea can be removed using a mild household cleaner / detergent

Do not place frying pans or dishes directly from the oven or cook top on the laminate surface. Protect the surface from heat generating appliances by using trivet, protector rods or insulation pads
Do not use knife, keys or sharp objects directly on the decorative surface. A chopping block, cutting board or counter saver is recommended
For cleaning, do not use abrasive cleaners, powders or steel wool

Clean the surface gently with a clean, damp soft cloth. Do not use brushes or scourers at any time.

Abrasives: Abrasive pads, scouring powders or cleansers may permanently damage the laminate surface making it susceptible to staining
Harsh chemicals: Harsh chemicals such as oven cleaner, toilet cleaner, or drain cleaner will etch and discolour the decorative surface. High Pressure Decorative Laminates are not designed to resist continual contact with these chemicals. If any of these products spill over the surface remove immediately, rinse thoroughly, and wipe dry
Hot objects: Even though HPL has high heat resistance, exposure to temperatures greater than 135°C is not recommended. Hence, do not place hot frying pans or dishes directly from the oven or cooktop on the laminate surface. As a precaution, protect the surface from heat generating appliances such as pressing irons, toasters, curling irons and electric cookers by using a trivet or insulated pad. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 65°C may result in separation of the laminate from the substrate
